Account & Subscription
Handle registration, subscription refreshes, device changes and recovery after a system reinstall.
What do I need to get started?
No email address is required—just choose a username and password. Use a username that is easy to distinguish from those used on other websites, and keep your password secure. After creating an account, you can view plans, orders, client downloads and subscription details in the user panel.
Why does the client still show old routes after I update the subscription link?
Clients usually retain the subscription data they last fetched. First, confirm in the user panel that your subscription is still valid, then return to the client and update the subscription or refresh its configuration. If nothing changes, delete the old local configuration, fetch the subscription again from the user panel and import it. Before reimporting, note your current app settings so your personal rules are not overwritten.
Do I need to buy another plan when I switch devices?
No separate purchase is required when changing devices. 87VPN supports unlimited devices, so the same account’s active subscription can be used on Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. On the new device, open the client page from the user panel and retrieve the client and subscription for its platform.
Can I keep using my subscription after reinstalling the system or switching clients?
As long as the plan remains active, reinstalling the system or switching clients will not change the subscription status on your account. After installation, retrieve the current subscription from the user panel. Long-term use of an old saved configuration is not recommended because route lists and connection parameters may have changed. Import it, then refresh the subscription to get the latest available content.
Connections & Troubleshooting
Diagnose issues step by step through the client status, system network settings and the app’s connection path.
Why can’t I connect even after importing the subscription?
First, make sure a specific route is selected in the client and that the connection switch is enabled. Then check whether the subscription has expired, whether data remains available for the current period, and whether the client has system network permission. If only the current route fails, switch to another route in the same region. If every route fails, update the subscription again and restart the client, then submit a ticket describing the platform, client behavior and troubleshooting steps already completed.
Why can I access a site in my browser but not use a particular app?
Browsers and standalone apps may use different network paths. Check whether the client is currently in global, rule-based or direct mode, and confirm that the target app is not excluded by a local rule. Some apps establish connections at startup, so after switching routes you need to fully quit and reopen them. If the browser works while the app continues to fail, temporarily switch connection modes to determine whether rule matching is the cause.
Where should I start when the connection keeps dropping?
First, check whether your local network is stable, then pause other tools that may also be changing network settings. Next, update the subscription, switch routes and reconnect. If disconnections begin after sleep or a network change, turn off the client connection and enable it again so the system can recreate the network channel. When submitting a ticket, include the platform, connection mode, route region and triggering scenario; this is more useful than simply saying that you cannot connect.
What should I do if the network still does not work normally after quitting the client?
This is usually related to system network settings not being restored in time. Reopen the client, turn off the connection switch, then quit normally—do not terminate the process directly. If the client offers an option to restore the system proxy or reset network settings, run it and reconnect to the local network. If the issue persists, restarting the system will usually reload the network configuration. Then update the client configuration to avoid continuing with the stale state left by an abnormal exit.
Speed & Routes
Choose the right route based on your destination, local network and performance at different times of day.
What should I do if video playback stutters during peak hours?
Peak-hour performance is affected by the local access network, international links and the target service. Start by lowering the player quality to see whether the stuttering changes with the bitrate. Then switch to another route in the same region, or compare with a nearby region. Do not switch routes repeatedly in quick succession; after each change, reopen the target page to release the previous connection. If the issue appears across multiple regions, also check whether the local network is handling heavy traffic.
Is the nearest route always the fastest?
Not necessarily. Geographic distance is only a reference point. Actual performance also depends on the local carrier’s exit, route type, the target website’s region and current congestion. For services in Asia, try Hong Kong, Tokyo or Singapore first. For content in other regions, prioritize an exit close to the target service. The best choice is ultimately based on performance with the same device, network and destination.
How should I choose between IEPL, relay and direct routes?
IEPL routes suit situations where stable international links matter most. Relay routes pass through an optimized entry point before reaching the target region, making them worth trying when local direct access is unreliable. Direct routes take a more straightforward path, but performance depends more heavily on the local network and international exit. Do not judge by the route name alone: test options against your destination, network and peak-hour performance, then keep the most stable route as your usual choice.
How should I match routes to Streaming or AI Tools?
Choose an exit in the region required by the target service, then check that the account region, content region and current route align. Streaming depends more on regional detection and sustained transfer, while AI Tools often require long-lived connections and session continuity. After changing regions, close and reopen the existing page or app so it does not continue using the previous exit. If the target service reports an account or payment-region issue, switching routes alone usually cannot change the account-side settings.
Billing & Refunds
Review monthly subscriptions, data packages, payment methods, upgrade rules and the refund request process.
What monthly subscription prices and data tiers are available?
Monthly subscriptions are ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. All three monthly plans let you choose routes suited to your current access needs and support unlimited devices. Choose based on your usual video quality, file transfers and daily usage frequency rather than a single session’s data use.
What is the difference between data packages and monthly subscriptions?
Data packages remain available until used up and never expire: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. Monthly subscriptions reset data each month on the activation date and suit regular, ongoing use. Data packages do not reset monthly and are better for irregular usage when you prefer to draw down a fixed total gradually. Choose according to your usage pattern rather than treating both billing models as the same cycle.
When does monthly subscription data reset, and how are mid-cycle upgrades handled?
Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date, not at the start of the calendar month. For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is prorated across the remaining days. Before upgrading, review the current plan, remaining status and available tiers in the user panel, then confirm the change. An upgrade does not convert a monthly subscription into a data package; each billing model continues under its own rules.
Which payment methods are supported?
Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Complete payment through the option shown in the user panel, then return to the order page to confirm the status. If payment is complete but the order status has not updated, do not create another order for the same request. Refresh the order record first; if the issue remains, submit a ticket through the user panel with the relevant order details.
How do I request a refund?
87VPN offers a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel and submit a request through the ticket system, specifying the relevant order and plan. Check the order status and payment record first to avoid selecting the wrong order. Follow the ticket history for refund progress, and keep your account and order details available for verification.
Organize the details, then submit a ticket
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, describe the platform, client status, target region, actions that triggered the problem and methods already tried. For order or refund issues, also check the corresponding records in the user panel.
